Paschal has been working with animals all his life. Having grown up on a dairy farm in Co Kilkenny he studied Veterinary Medicine at University College Dublin. He spent the early part of his career working in Waterford before returning to Kilkenny. He is one of the founding partners of Ormonde Veterinary and has a passion to deliver the highest standard of pet care.
Paschal currently lives in Kilkenny city with his family.
Pat has over 30 years of practice here at Ormonde veterinary and is one of the founding directors.
Pat graduated from UCD in 1990 and loves all aspects of veterinary medicine but particularly enjoys consulting and meeting patients and their owners. He has always had a keen interest in keeping up to date with the latest developments and trends in the veterinary industry and has continually ensured that Ormonde invests in the latest technology and equipment
When not working, pat enjoys all things hurling and spending time with his family and dogs. To relax at the end of a working day, Pat loves nothing more than a long walk with his dogs Bobby and Sally.
James Butler hails from a dairy farm in Tipperary. He studied medicine in UCD and qualified in 2019. Ha has been working with Ormonde Veterinary since he qualified. He enjoys all aspects of Veterinary medicine. James is delighted to have the opportunity to work with one of the leading high profile practices in the South East.
Michael comes from a beef and tillage farm in Co. Wexford. He studied veterinary medicine in University College Dublin and since graduating, he has worked in Waterford and Thomastown before joining Ormonde Veterinary in January this year.
He enjoys the challenges and variety of first opinion practice.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing GAA with his club Craanford and supporting Wexford as well as giving a hand on the farm at home.
Michael qualified from UCD in 2019 and joined Ormonde Veterinary shorty afterwards. Michael enjoys practicing both large and small animals. In his spare time, Michael enjoys training with his local GAA club in Waterford and helping out on his family farm whenever he can. Michael is delighted to have the opportunity to work with one of the leading high profile practices in the South East.
A Ballycallan native, Richard joined Ormonde Veterinary Hospital in 2020. After graduating from UCD in 2012 Richard moved to Ontario, Canada for 3 ½ years. He worked in a mixed practice and enjoyed a high standard of companion and large animal work. Following this, he worked for a short while in the UK before starting in Thomastown Veterinary in 2016.
Richard has a passion for veterinary medicine and surgery. Companion animal dentistry is a huge area of interest and he takes great pride in performing advanced dental procedures and surgical extractions when required.
When not working Richard can be seen running the roads around Thomastown where he still lives.
Gillian started working with us as a veterinary nurse in 2011, she is an all round animal lover. She has a keen interest in parasitology, cytology, surgical anaesthesia, wound management, animal weight management and animal behaviour. Away from work she enjoys spending time with her family and pet beagle Bazzel.
Natalia joined our team in 2018 as a student veterinary nurse. She successfully qualified as an RVN from Athlone Institute of technology in 2020. She is a real animal lover and her biggest passion is the care of our patients. Since her qualification, Natalia continues to gain new skills from our team and ongoing CPD training.
Katie Joined Ormonde Veterinary Hospital in 2020. She qualified from Myerscough college in the UK with a degree in veterinary nursing. Katie has a keen interest in emergency and critical care and also inpatient care. At home, Katie lives on a dairy farm and has 3 lovely dogs called Holly, Moose and Jill. Katie also has a lovely horse called Meg and enjoys hacking her out and doing competitions.
Aisling started with the practice in 2018 and has worked in the management sector for the last 22 years. She works closely both with our large and companion animal clients and strives to enhance a great vet/client relationship within all our practices. Aisling is here to help with any issues our clients may have. Aisling comes from a dairy farm in Kilkenny and enjoys spending time with all the animals on their farm both large and small, but especially with her Golden Retriever Holly. Aisling also won Practice Manager of the year 2019.
Bridget started with Ormonde Veterinary in 2019 when we moved to our new modern premises on the Dublin road. Our regular clients will recognise Bridget as the first friendly face they see as they enter our large animal section. Bridget is always happy to answer your call, prepare your prescription, schedule your TB testing or help to organise any farm issue you may have. She loves nothing more than to relax with her pet dog Marley and cat Snowy.
Leighanne started with Ormonde Veterinary in 2020 and she runs our companion animal reception desk. Leighanne is happy to direct your call or concern to the relevant Vet or Nurse to help minimise any stress or concern a client may have. She will be the first person you speak to when you contact our companion animal hospital. Leighanne previously was a groomer so has worked with animals all her career and has many pets cats and dogs at home too.
Gemma started with Ormonde Veterinary in 2004, while initially working as a nurse Gemma now runs our reception area with Leighanne and works with clients in setting up Vet Care Plans and processing insurance claims with our clients. Gemma extensive years of experience with the practice means she knows all our clients by name, and most of our pets have grown up under Gemma watchful eye. She has a menagerie of pets at home, 2 dogs Hector and Sherah & 2 cats Rupert and Lucy. She has a great way with cats as we all know they can be very shy.
Mary is part of our new Team that makes up our Thomastown Practice. She undertakes the role of receptionist at this practice and is a friendly face when you arrive to help solve any farm issues that a client may have. She herself comes from a dairy farm in Kilkenny and enjoys spending time on the farm along with her 3 sheepdogs.
Jacky has been working with Ormonde Veterinary for the last 11 years in our Callan Practice. Jacky’s initial career was as a Pharmaceutical lab technician, which aids her greatly when guiding clients on products. She is a great lover of all animals and has many cats and dogs at home, but her greatest love is in rescuing feral cats and rehoming them.
Siobhan Brazil started working in Ormonde Veterinary in 2018. She is from Dublin and has a background in the software industry. After moving to Kilkenny in 2008 she decided to take up further studies and qualified as an accounting technician. She is a member of accounting Technicians Ireland. Siobhan lives locally with her family and beautiful Labrador Nala.
Kay has worked for Ormonde Veterinary for the last 5 years as one of our 2 accounts technicians. Kay brings a wealth of experience to the practice and is available to help and advise all our clients when required. Kay supports all our clients with account queries and concerns. Kay lives in south Kilkenny and enjoys walking with her family and their 2 dogs Xena and Lily.
Stasia has started with our new team in our Thomastown practice in 2020, she works as an aid to all our vets when onsite on farm visits, she is very experienced in this role and many farmers will meet her when vets are out doing TB testing. She has worked the last 10 years with veterinary practices. Stasia family are also farmers so she is always at her happiest helping on the farm.
Margaret has worked as a groomer with Ormonde Veterinary Hospital since 2015. However, has been a groomer for a lot longer than that. She specializes in both large and small dogs and cats but also works in tandem with our vets. Some dogs at grooming may require light sedation, especially with anxious animals.
Robyn is a new addition to our grooming team and started with Ormonde Veterinary Hospital in November 2020. Robyn previously worked as a groomer with 2 previous grooming salons and has extensive experience. Robyn has an eye for detail and loves to make sure your pet looks amazing after their visit with us. She works closely with our vets as they perform a free vet check on every groom.
