Paschal Gibbons MVB MRCVS
Paschal has grown up on a dairy farm in north Kilkenny. Having attended secondary school at St.Kierans College he then went on to University College Dublin(U.C.D) to study veterinary medicine. Once he graduated, he spent the early part of his career working in LA farm practice in Co. Waterford before returning to Kilkenny. He is one of the founding partners of Ormonde Veterinary and is dedicated to the highest standard of service to our farming clients.
Paschal worked primarily on the farm animal side of the practice, having overall responsibility for the management of the practice and its retails outlets. He has overseen the practice grow to now become the largest practice in the south east.
Paschal has been involved in veterinary politics in Ireland for many years. He was involved in the formation of Veterinary Ireland, the representative body for the veterinary profession in Ireland, and became its first president. He was also for a number of years a member of the Irish delegation to Federation of Veterinary Europe(FVE).
Paschal has a keen interest in business and served as an Executive Director on a number of boards of insurance, financial and distribution companies.
He is currently involved in XL Vets. XL Vets is a group of veterinary practices who by working together and sharing experience, knowledge and skill seek to define the highest standard of veterinary practice.
Paschal currently lives in Kilkenny with his family.

Kieran qualified from the University of Edinburgh and is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine especially herd and flock health.
He has recently undertaken further study completing a certificate in dairy herd health at UCD.
He lives locally with his family and a menagerie of pet animals.

Pat has over 30 years of practice here at Ormonde veterinary and is one of the founding directors.
Pat graduated from UCD in 1990 and loves all aspects of veterinary medicine but particularly enjoys consulting and meeting patients and their owners. He has always had a keen interest in keeping up to date with the latest developments and trends in the veterinary industry and has continually ensured that Ormonde invests in the latest technology and equipment
When not working, pat enjoys all things hurling and spending time with his family and dogs. To relax at the end of a working day, Pat loves nothing more than a long walk with his dogs Bobby and Sally.

Originally from Kilkenny City, Danielle studied Veterinary Medicine in University college Dublin and graduated with an honour’s degree in 2018. Upon graduating, Danielle started her professional career in a large, busy mixed practice in Midelton, Co Cork. Since then, she has gained a wealth of experience working in Wicklow and Thomastown, specialising in small animal medicine and surgery.
Danielle has a particular interest in dental health and senior pet health, and has undertook further study in these areas. Danielle also really enjoys interesting soft tissue surgical cases.
“Treat my patients like my pets” is the standard of care and compassion that Danielle employs in all aspects of her role in the practise. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys running, going to gym and spending time with her lovely dog Nelson!

Aife graduated from UCD with a BSC in Veterinary Nursing in 2019 and had been working in Naas since. While there she has gained experience in orthopaedics, dentistry and critical care. She is delighted to be now working back in her home city of Kilkenny. Aife is still exploring areas that interest her as a Veterinary Nurse and finds all aspects of the job rewarding. However, she currently enjoys dentistry and emergency and critical care. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in the Comeragh’s or spending time on the couch with her beloved cat Pixie.

Bridget started with Ormonde Veterinary in 2019 when we moved to our new modern premises on the Dublin road. Our regular clients will recognise Bridget as the first friendly face they see as they enter our large animal section. Bridget is always happy to answer your call, prepare your prescription, schedule your TB testing or help to organise any farm issue you may have. She loves nothing more than to relax with her pet dog Marley and cat Snowy.

Gemma started with Ormonde Veterinary in 2004, while initially working as a nurse Gemma now runs our reception area with Leighanne and works with clients in setting up Vet Care Plans and processing insurance claims with our clients. Gemma extensive years of experience with the practice means she knows all our clients by name, and most of our pets have grown up under Gemma watchful eye. She has a menagerie of pets at home, 2 dogs Hector and Sherah & 2 cats Rupert and Lucy. She has a great way with cats as we all know they can be very shy.

Mary is part of our new Team that makes up our Thomastown Practice. She undertakes the role of receptionist at this practice and is a friendly face when you arrive to help solve any farm issues that a client may have. She herself comes from a dairy farm in Kilkenny and enjoys spending time on the farm along with her 3 sheepdogs.

Jacky has been working with Ormonde Veterinary for the last 11 years in our Callan Practice. Jacky’s initial career was as a Pharmaceutical lab technician, which aids her greatly when guiding clients on products. She is a great lover of all animals and has many cats and dogs at home, but her greatest love is in rescuing feral cats and rehoming them.

Kay has worked for Ormonde Veterinary for the last 5 years as one of our 2 accounts technicians. Kay brings a wealth of experience to the practice and is available to help and advise all our clients when required. Kay supports all our clients with account queries and concerns. Kay lives in south Kilkenny and enjoys walking with her family and their 2 dogs Xena and Lily.

Stasia has started with our new team in our Thomastown practice in 2020, she works as an aid to all our vets when onsite on farm visits, she is very experienced in this role and many farmers will meet her when vets are out doing TB testing. She has worked the last 10 years with veterinary practices. Stasia family are also farmers so she is always at her happiest helping on the farm.
